Pakistan plagued by floods
More than 1,500 people have been killed in Pakistan(***)s worst floods in history[Reuters]

Hundreds of thousands of homes have been destroyed in the deluge and nearly a million people have been displaced [Reuters]
Major infrastructure, including roads and bridges, have been reduced to rubble [AFP]
Many people have lost much of their livestock and farmland in the disaster, which they heavily depend on for survival.
Pakistan(***)s government has launched a massive rescue and relief mission to help the millions affected by the floods [AFP]
After the flood waters receded in some areas, many towns and villages were left covered in mud [AFP]
Some residents sought refuge on the roofs of buildings to escape the flood waters [AFP]
Camps, providing shelter, medical assistance and food, have been set up for those displaced in the floods [AFP]
Many charity organisations were quick to provide food and medical aid [Reuters]
But in the remains of Risalabad village, located just a few hours from the capital, citizens have not received any help in rebuilding [AJE]
Officials have warned of the threat of an outbreak of disease due to lack of clean drinking water [AFP]
Authorities said about 100,000 people, mostly children, are suffering from deadly illnesses such as gastroenteritis and there are growing fears of a possible Cholera outbreak [AFP]
The United Nations and the United States have pledged millions of dollars in relief for Pakistan(***)s flood victims.
