Iraqi forces seize more territory in northern Iraq

A day after government troops took control of the city of Kirkuk, Kurdish forces have relinquished more territory to Iraqi forces in disputed areas of northern Iraq.

Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi has dismissed Kurdish hopes for an independent state and has called for dialogue.
