Arab League summit: Can it bring peace to the region?

The crisis in Yemen is at the top of the agenda at a meeting of Arab leaders in Egypt’s Sharm el-Sheikh.

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has said negotiations are the only way to prevent a long-term conflict in Yemen.

The fighting there has been at the top of the agenda at the Arab League summit in Egypt.

Saudi Arabia’s King Salman promised to continue air strikes against Houthi rebels until peace and stability are restored.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, also called for a united Arab military force to tackle regional threats.

But with instability spreading through the Middle East, can the region really solve its own problems?
